How do I get these abs/muscles around my torso?

Weight control has alot to do with that. You need to be in the slimmer range where it occurs naturally. I am 40 and still have the "y curve" as my lady describes it. I eat right and exercise. Sume good exercises are sit ups and twist(holding a weight in front of your and or using a long stick like a broom behind your neck with your arms dd around and twisting side to side 3 sets of 40. Best is the leg lifts. lay on flat surface preferably a bench and lift your legs up as high as they go and then down without touching the floor or even with your body if on a bench. then repeat. at the end hold for 5-10sec. do 3 sets of 10. Works abs to for that 6pk look:) hope i helped...later
