We live in Mount Vernon, Ohio and went to a creek to look for some fossils. When we got to the water, we......?

expected it to be cold. Instead, it was hot enough to almost burn you (about as hot as the hot water coming out of a faucet). We left and went to the fire department to see if they knew what was making the water hot. They told us it was water run-off from a nearby factory testing turbine engines, but the only factory that we know of, is Rolls Royce, but that factory is nowhere near the little creek. The creek is at the end of S. Norton street, near the Habitat for Humanity. The Kokosing river is not far from it.Does anyone that lives there or near there, or even someone who's seen it, have any idea what is going on? I feel it is dangerous because a child might try to play in the water and get burnt, and there are gas lines right around there and we're afraid the heat might get bad enough to cause an explosion or something like that.
