Our first president, the belove George Washington, was one of those large distillers who benefited from the structure of the tax. The tax was supposedly created to raise money to pay off the Revolutionary War debt, but it was justified at the time as a tax on evil, a clic example of the "sin tax" we still have on alcohol and tobacco. Grain farmers in Pennsylvania who suffered from the lost market created by the tax started a series of violent protests. Washington called up and organized the armed state militias of PA and VA under federal command, including Washington himself, to stop the protests, imposing martial law on the region. So, we can all think this gov't tendency is new, to use crisis as a power grab. We can blame it on Bush, blame it on Obama. But even our founding fathers were no less guilty. Political power corrupts. The result of the martial law in 1794? No one was hurt, a few fines were levied, the Federalists lost power over time to the Democrat-Republicans, and the tax was repealed a few years later under the first Democratic president, Thomas Jefferson. That's why people eligible to vote need to pay attention and vote the s out of office when **** goes down that we don't like. It's not like something in human nature is suddenly going to change, and politicians aren't going to use crisis to grab power. But the good news is the power of the vote is still with the people and it works. So don't complain. Just pay attention and vote.

I've been to Solomon Islands. While I was on the plane, I was expecting to see a place like paradise, because of it's location in the Pacific Ocean. My friend had it done with me too, and hers looks more crooked, the piercer didn't use clamps on either of us, my friend went first and I asked him about the piercing looking crooked on her, and he said it would fix on it's own. Should I repot Japanese Maple seedlings now?

I have three Japanese Maple seedlings ranging from about 4" to 8". They are doing very well ... nice and leafy. When I first got them, they were like little twigs and I planted them in a large plastic bowl with drainage. At its deepest point, the bowl is probably 6". Now that they've grown so well, should I repot them or wait until next spring? I know they need to winter outdoors (I live in zone 5). Would it be better for them to be all together for the winter or in separate pots? Right now, they are all on one side of the bowl because I had planted a bunch of little Japanese Maple twigs, but these are the only three that took. If I don't repot them, should I spread them out in the bowl to give them each more room? Thanks so much! I just love these little seedlings and I don't want anything bad to happen to them!

Sume good exercises are sit ups and twist(holding a weight in front of your and or using a long stick like a broom behind your neck with your arms dd around and twisting side to side 3 sets of 40. Best is the leg lifts. lay on flat surface preferably a bench and lift your legs up as high as they go and then down without touching the floor or even with your body if on a bench. then repeat. at the end hold for 5-10sec. do 3 sets of 10. What chemical can cause a burn on baby skin like this?

I have a photo I have taken of what we suspect is a chemical burn on my 21 month old little girl. Please if you have experience with burns, I would like to share the photos so you can see the damage. We don't leave household cleaners out or anywhere our kids can get a hold of. She was at the babysitter and the sitter called to tell me she thought she was stung by a bee a few times because the baby was outside playing and suddenly started screaming and crying and saying "ouchy, boo boo" and pointing to her arm. The sitter said she put neosporin + pain relief on the affected area. By the time my husband picked the kids up and brought them home, he gave them a bath and when I got home, I saw the area and it had bubbled up on the one larger area and become pus filled and the skin started to peel off and was oozing. Took her to the ER where they suggested a chemical burn. The baby had on two layers that day with long sleeves so, I'm wondering what could have gone through both layers without damaging the clothing, but enough to affect her skin??? This is really odd and it's been 5 days with no real improvement. The docs put her on oral antibiotics in case it is a bacterial infection, as well as topical antibiotic ointment. I have been cleaning and redressing the areas every morning and evening and still not improvement. The areas are still oozing and are purple with skin peeling off. Has anyone see anything like this before? Could a plant outside have caused this? We live in the suburbs in Ohio, so I'm not sure what species of plants around here could do this. Docs aren't proving to be much help.

Halo 3 Maps Not Loading?!?

Well, I brought my hard drive over to a friend's to record some of my film clips onto the computer, well anyways, I'm pretty sure I didn't damage it... But once I took it home, and started playing Halo 3, it would tell me that I failed to load content, on ANY map. Not just the heroic or legendary ones, every map, (Last resort, Guardian, etc..) And I can't even play campaign anymore, or watch videos in theater, because no matter what I do, it tells me that I failed to load content. And in matchmaking, since I "fail to load content", it sends me back to the lobby as soon as there is a match found! It's getting ridiculous! Well, I know that it's either a problem with my disc, or my hard drive, and my disc isn't even that scratched, and I treat my xbox fine so I don't know how it got damaged. I tried that X,X,LB,RB,X,X, thing on the hard drive, but that only helped for half an hour, and then it just goes back to normal. Well, anyways, If anyone knows how to fix it, PLEASE let me know.

I have removed the wallpaper in my kitchen and also scd as much of the glue as I can. There is very little remaining and I'm trying to figure out what my next step should be. I have read that I should clean the walls with TSP before priming but I have also read that you can just use Gardz to seal in whatever is left of the glue. I would rather not use the TSP if I can just use the Gardz. Also, there are some large cracks in the wall that have been covered with putty underneath the wallpaper and I'm afraid that if I just use the Gardz and then paint that the putty spots will show through. Diabetic Cat?

My cat has been diagnosed with early onset diabetes. So although she is not insulin dependent yet, she could be. I am doing what I can to try to prevent this from happening. Her diet has been changed to solely Hill's m/d feline biscuits. I am diabetic myself and this is the part I struggle with. The vets have told me she is to have nothing else to eat ever. Please help for cramps when I run?

When I run for my school's sports prep workouts, I get a terribly painful side cramp to my left side. I do everything I possibly can to prep for the running which may be a monster mile, sprints, 30/30's or 15/15's. I try not to eat too much on those days, I drink water, breathe deeply, and stretch. What do I do to help? P.S. the pain is usually so bad I almost double over, but it's definitely a cramp. It comes in little jolts, it's always bad but every 10 seconds or so, it jolts and gets incredibly painful it makes me almost cry. It starts out slow and small, but as I run gets worse.

Pain on my right side?

For about a month or two, I have had a pain in my right side that's underneath/behind my ribcage. I looked up a diagram and the pain seems to be where my liver and gallbladder are located. It is a kind of dull but constant pain. It's not a sharp pain, but it's daily now. Today I realized it hurt when I sat for a long period of time. I sat for 3 hours today because I had testing at school, and it began to hurt after about 2 1/2 hours. I ate lunch at about 11:30, and then had algebra cl at noon. After 15 minutes of sitting, it became worse. What could this pain be? I'm in 9th grade by the way, and haven't had any surgery or injuries. Please help if you have any idea what is going on. I disagree. I like College Hill and I am ashamed to say that I like Flavor of Love as well. It's low cl entertainment, which is to be had on the black level as well on the white level. I'm looking to get a 1940s hope chest fixed. The inside is cedar and in perfect condition. The outside is in great condition with except of three spots. On top there's a bad spot about the size of a baseball. There's a decorative corner that's chewed at a bit. Then there's a small piece of broken off veneer. Please don't tell me to do it myself. With the rounded waterfall edges the last thing I want to do is go sanding on it not knowing what I'm doing. Ok I like snakes that are hooded but I want to own one as a pet. Are there snakes out there that are non venomous that have hoods? Do you think i can play GTA IV in this laptop without any problems?

Well GTA IV in particular is recommended to run on a quad core system (its the only game I know of that does that though and I like for Pc gaming). If possible it is better to get a graphics card with 1Gb of memory vs 512mb just because it runs at higher fps and smoother, and for newer games it is almost a must for good performance. The Cpu will do fine for almost any games right now, though you probably want 4Gb of ram, especially for GTA IV. Also its not a must but if you could get a graphics card that supports DirectX 11 that would be great, some cards that support that are all of the Ati Radeon HD 5000 series cards, and almost all of the Nvidia 400 series cards. This Pc can run games like GTA IV at lowered settings, you not going to have max setting and AA and all that but it should run it fairly well with the setting's lowered just a but. I hope this helps. I build Pc's and Laptops so you can trust me.

Yes, that is a large courseload for a freshman in high school. I would recommend you taking less cles or not as advanced. As a freshman your overwhelmed going into a new school and meeting people and getting used to the work. Don't burn yourself out in the first year. You will get stressed I know. When I was a freshman I took Honors English, Spanish 3( I was really advanced), Honors Algebra, Western Civilization and some other courses I can't remember and I also played Field Hockey, Track, and Lacrosse. Sometimes its hard managing your time especially when you get out of cl and have to practice until like 5-6 pm and then your so tired that its hard to do work. You have the rest of of high school and college to be stressed, so I would say shorten the load or take less advanced cles or don't participate in a sport for a season. See how things are and get into a rythm with your school work and if you want and have a heavy course load for sopre year do it you'll be used to things by then. Also sometimes when you have so many cles you often focus on some more than others and in those other cles you don't perform as well and get a poor grade.

Since last Saturday, I have been having a hard time going poo. I do know what to take to fix this. However, it seems that what I'm taking (Stool Softener & Laxative combo) is not helping me use the bathroom. When I am able to go poo, it's usually small clumps and they float. I know when it floats, that means you have gas. So I decided to take some Phazyme for that. The problem lasts all day, but there are times (morning and afternoon, especially) where I will try to use the bathroom, and it will HURT to poo (after it comes out). I do not know what is wrong, I've never had anything like this happen before. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to take and what to do to fix this problem? It is very bothersome and it makes me unable to go to public outings. I have NOT had a history of bladder/colon problems or any of that. The only thing I has is when I'm nervous, I usually feel sick.

Im 37 weeks and am due May-31st and every so often through out the day I get these cramps like Im going 2 be sick 2 my stomach or something similar 2 food poisoning. Since about 20 weeks along I used 2 get bh contractions quiet often so I know how they feel but they were never painful or anything they just felt like my tummy tighting up and getting hard for a few seconds and then relaxing. These cramps however are painful and last for a while and make me feels just terrible and so cranky 2 the point where the other day I just started crying 2 my boyfriend about them like a baby bc I felt just so sick and miserable and crampy. The pain seems to spread all over my tummy and around my lower back and I know that they can't be labor pains bc I've been getting these for about a week or so and I saw my doctor on tuesday and everything seems fine except that she decided to schedual 4 me to see the imaging clinic for more ultrasounds bc my baby is still very small at 37 weeks. Other than that she daid that all looks well. So my question is are these bh contractions as well but just becoming painful? Also how will I kno if my baby has dropped?? I already carry low and go pee like a million times a day the only difference I notice now is that I feel her moving much lower than b4 like below my hip bone and where the line at the very bottom meets the hip. Vitamins B did not cause this odor.I can't say what it could possibly be but I don't think that would be it unless something drastic is wrong with them.In any case throw them out.Frebreeze will fix the odor and maybe hang clothes out doors.Or take them to a dry cleaners they can do them.

Sorry, Firecracker...the early '80s GS line's most common fault is dead stators. Some owners had to replace them more than once. A puller is really the only special tool one needs. And, yes, a Haynes or Clymer manual should live in the same garage as the bike. I have both, as well as the factory manual, for my CB750F: I've found it useful to have more than one reference, because often one will have an error concerning a spec. such as the torque to be applied to a critical part. BTW, I don't wish to single out Suzuki regarding this fault: I replaced the stator on my Honda 1981 CB750F about 5 years ago, and the one on a CB360T 'way back when.

I started taking Alli in 08 once for six months then another time in Jan 09. After my second dose in 09 I started to get tired ill nausea and This horrible itchy skin.... I didnt know what to make of it. I started going to the DR last summer to find out about the rash i had already stopped taking ALLI but she checked my liver enzymes and they were really elevated.. so has anyone else had these symtoms??
