Do the Angels of mercy enter our home if we have dogs in the garden...?

I have been told by family members that angels will not enter my home as we have dogs. The dogs are kept in the garden and are not permitted to enter the property. I myself will feed the creatures but will not allow them to touch me, but my son plays and strokes them. How do i maintain that my son is purified and cleansed after touching the dogs.
