Has anyone had waterfall furniture repaired/refinished before?

I'm looking to get a 1940s hope chest fixed. The inside is cedar and in perfect condition. The outside is in great condition with except of three spots. On top there's a bad spot about the size of a baseball. There's a decorative corner that's chewed at a bit. Then there's a small piece of broken off veneer. Please don't tell me to do it myself. With the rounded waterfall edges the last thing I want to do is go sanding on it not knowing what I'm doing. I wish to have this piece professionally done and just want to know a ball park of what to expect before dragging it place to place. Thanks!
