Stupid thermostat?!what should I do?

Im renovating the hallway!. there is this stupid thermostat installed on the wall. Frankly it won't be of any help since the place it is installed in close to the door which does not reflect the average temperature in the house! Can I just get rid of it?There is the option to relocate it to the living room but again my living room is not heated up by the radiators(the system is the gravity non-combo gas one). Any suggestions?is there any wireless option? thanks in advance!
